Café at Village Hall

Every Weekday

Tea and coffee is available every weekday morning in the Village Hall, which has newly refurbished rooms that are ready to hire for any family function. The rooms can accommodate anywhere from 20 - 140 people.

Youth Activities at St. John the Baptist’s Parish Church

Tuesdays

GLU2 Energy is for school years 6-9, and meets on Tuesdays from 7:15 to 8:30pm.
GLU2 Late is for school years 10-13, and meets on Tuesdays from 8:15 to 9:30pm.

The groups gets together to play games, worship God, read the bible, goes on socials and trips to regional Christian youth events. Highlights in the GLU2 calendar have included a bonfire party, Christmas Prom, weekend away, and fun day.

Parents and Toddlers at Clayton Baptist Church

Tuesdays

Tuesdays 9-11am & 1-3pm. Both groups have toys and creative play appropriate for under 4's, with an area dedicated to babies. Snack time is approximately half way through the session, with a sing along to end. Our aim is that everyone should feel welcome, so please just come along. Cost is £1.50 per family

Slimming World at Clayton Methodist Church

Tuesday Evenings

If you want to lose weight, come along to Slimming World Clayton Methodist Church, Clayton at 5pm or 7pm every Tuesday Where you’ll find a warm friendly welcome.

Young People at Clayton Gospel Hall

Wednesdays

Clayton Estate Community Action Group hold a kids club in the Gospel Hall every Wednesday from 5-6pm during term time. The club is for children aged 0-8, although under 5s must be accompanied by an adult. Activities include games and crafts. Refreshments are provided.

Clayton Gospel Hall's youth group (9-16 year olds) meets every Wednesday from 6.30pm to 7.45pm during term time. Entry is free for all young people over the age of five years and activities include pool, table tennis, board games, cards and dominoes. Refreshments provided. Newcomers welcome.

Cupcake Decorating Classes from Netty's Cakes

You can do it...

Have you ever looked at those fancy cupcakes and thought "I wonder how they do that?" or "Oo I'd love to be able to make those?" With Netty's Cakes you can learn how to pipe the perfect cupcake and build on those skills until you are turning out the most fabulous cupcakes.

Whether it's something you simply fancy trying, or you know someone who would really appreciate a Gift Card to redeem on a course date of their choosing, why not get in touch. Once you have attended the course you have the opportunity to purchase the equipment at discounted rates, allowing you to keep on practising in the comfort of your own home.

Classes will be held in the New Church Rooms, St Johns, Clayton. First Wednesday of every month - starting February 2012

"Stay and Play" / Job Centre Plus

Thursdays

Lidget Green Children’s Centre and Clayton Gospel Hall have linked together to offer the following services to families with children under 5 years old: "Stay and Play", Thursdays 1.30–3pm and Job Centre Plus, fortnightly Thursdays 1.30-2.30pm.

"Stay and Play" has a small cost of 50p per family to contribute towards snack and resources.

Appointments must be booked for Job Centre Plus by ringing 01274 579576.

Open Church at St. John the Baptist’s Parish Church

Thursdays

Every Thursday St. John’s is open to all visitors and guest who want to wander round, share a cuppa or just have a quiet space to pray. There is also a traditional communion service on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, using 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

Highland Dancing at Clayton Gospel Hall

Thursday Evenings

Clanaulder, highland dance / piping group meet at Clayton Gospel Hall every Thursday evening, 6:30pm, during term time. Beginners always welcome to join.

Uniformed Organisations

Thursdays & Fridays

Guides, for ages 10-14, meets on Thursdays from 7:30-9pm at Clayton Methodist Church.
Scouts, for ages 11-14, meets on Fridays from 7:15-9:15pm at Clayton Methodist Church.

Coffee Mornings at Clayton Methodist Church

Second Saturday of every month

Come along for a cuppa and a chat on the second Saturday of every month (except January & August.) Entry just £1. Home made scones and biscuits served with tea or coffee. Bric-a-brac and bookstalls also available.
